These are the Terms and Conditions which govern the use of
WorldMediaLawReport.com web site and email magazine (Publication). Use of
the Publication implies acceptance of these terms and conditions, as amended
from time-to-time. If you do not accept these terms and conditions then do not
use or subscribe to the Publication. If you have any questions, please contact

1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 Publisher: The owners and operators of the Publication, Globe Business
Publishing Ltd, of New Hibernia House, Winchester Walk, London Bridge, London
SE1 9AG.
1.2 Publication: The materials on the WorldMediaLawReport.com web site and
email magazine (and including any software used in their operation supplied by
the Publisher).
1.3 Subscription Period: The period set out in the invoice sent to you or your
organization, or, if a trial, the agreed period or until the Publisher
terminates the trial.
1.4 Subscription Fee: The current subscription fee as set out in any invoice
sent to you or your organization (no fee is payable for a trial).
1.5 User: The government or regulatory official, in-house lawyer, lawyer in
private practice, or equivalent professional, who has paid the Subscription Fee
and who has been issued a password by the Publisher.
1.6 Licensed Firm: The government agency, company or law firm who has paid the
Subscription Fee and who has been issued a password by the Publisher. The
Licensed Firm may allow staff at other directly linked offices of the same firm
access to the service.
2. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF USE
2.1 All rights in the Publication belong to the Publisher or its third-party
licensors and are protected by copyright, trademarks, service marks and/or
other proprietary rights and laws of the UK and other countries. All individual
articles, columns, emails and other elements of the Publication are also
copyright works and you agree to abide by all applicable copyright and other
laws, as well as any additional copyright notices or restrictions contained in
the Publication or in these Terms and Conditions. The Publisher may licence
third parties to use the Publication in its sole discretion.
2.2 You agree to use the Publication solely for your own use and benefit and
not for resale or other transfer or disposition to any other person or entity.
You further agree not to use, transfer, distribute or dispose of any part of
the Publication in any manner that might compete with the business of the
Publisher.
2.3 You warrant that you are a government or regulatory official, an in-house
lawyer or a lawyer in private practice, or equivalent professional. You accept
that the Publication is not to be used for transactions or the provision of
legal advice.
2.4 Subject to the above, you may retrieve and display the Publication on a
computer screen, print individual pages on paper (but not photocopy them) and
store such pages in electronic form on disc (but not on any server or other
storage device connected to a network) but you may not reproduce, modify or
exploit any of the Publication for commercial profit other than would be
ordinarily made in the course of your business.
2.5 You must not disclose your password to anyone else and you must take
reasonable steps to ensure that no-one else uses the materials in your name.
2.6 You must inform the Publisher immediately if you move organizations.
2.7 Any breach of the Conditions of Use or any unauthorised use of any
password(s) issued to you will entitle the Publisher, in addition to any other
remedy available, to cancel any and all passwords issued to you and to
terminate this Licence immediately. In such event no part of the annual fee
already paid will be repayable to you.
3. USER LICENCE
3.1 Single-user licence: Subject to the above, you may retrieve and display the
Publication on a computer screen, print individual pages on paper (but not
photocopy them) and store such pages in electronic form on disc (but not on any
server or other storage device connected to a network) but you may not
reproduce, modify or exploit any of the Publication for commercial profit other
than would be ordinarily made in the course of your business.
3.2. Multi-user licence: Subject to the above, staff who are employees of the
Licensed Firm may search, view, copy and print out materials for their own use.
Make print outs or copies available to other people whom they reasonably
believe are licensed to use those materials or if the Publisher has given them
written permission. Access the materials whilst away from their main place of
work, so long as their main place of work is at a Licensed Firm.
4. DISCLAIMER
4.1 The Publication is distributed on an 'as is' basis without warranties of
any kind, either express or implied.
4.2 Information may be incorrect or out of date.
4.3 Information may not constitute a definitive or complete statement of the
law.
4.4 Materials are not intended to constitute legal advice in any specific
situation.
4.5 You may not be able to access the Publication or any materials in it when
you want to.
4.6 The Publisher may change or withdraw part of the Publication.
4.7 The Publication may not be compatible with your browser or computer
configuration.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The liability of the publisher, and the liability of any company within the
same group of companies and all their respective agents, employees and
sub-contractors to you or any other party for any losses or damages whatsoever
arising in connection with the publication (whether under this licence or other
contract or in consequence of their misrepresentation, misstatement or tortious
act or omission including negligence) is limited to damages of an amount equal
to the subscription fee.
6. TERMINATION
6.1 If you are in breach of these terms or if you move organizations the
Publisher may terminate this licence immediately upon giving you written
notice.
6.2 The Publisher will terminate this licence at the end of the Subscription
Period by giving you notice unless you renew your subscription at the then
current fee.
6.3 On termination, you must take reasonable steps to delete any part of the
Publication copied to any hard disk or other permanent storage device.
7. GOVERNING LAW
This Licence is governed by English law and you submit to the non-exclusive
jurisdiction of the English courts.
8. PRIVACY POLICY
8.1 The Publisher and Publication will comply with the relevant English data
protection laws, so normally any personal details provided to us will not be
disclosed to third parties without the User's consent.
8.2 If the Publisher is requested by authorised third parties or regulatory or
governmental agencies investigating illegal activities to provide information
concerning Users activities whilst using the Publication, the Publisher shall
do so.
8.3 The Publisher will disclose Users' personal data if the Publisher is
compelled to do so by law.
8.4 The Publisher reserves the right to notify or provide such information to
the relevant authority if, in its sole opinion, the Publisher believes an
emergency, illegal activity or some other reasonable basis exists for doing so.
8.5 The Publisher reserves the right to store and use Users' personal data
solely for its own internal purposes and the Publisher further reserves the
right to access, monitor and retrieve password-protected information in order
to fulfil our obligations in these terms and conditions.
8.6 The Publisher reserves the right to include a User's
company/firm/organization name in marketing materials.
